The Proposal At A Glance
Learn about our exciting plans for 1875 Steeles Avenue West.
Today 1875 Steeles West is home to a 4 storey, 120 unit, purpose-built rental building. The property includes an outdoor pool, children’s playground, and limited access to the valleylands along the east side of the property. Built in 1973, there are a number of opportunities not only to improve the resident experience but also how people interact with their surroundings. Along the eastern property are valleylands with extensive trail systems available for residents and community members.

120 replacement units reserved for all current tenants
Those who currently live at 1875 Steeles West will have the opportunity to move back into the new building, in rental replacement units at similar rents. These new units will be modernized rental units, and tenants will have access to the new amenity space. Tenblock is available to discuss any questions existing tenants may have about this process.
Improving accessibility to green and natural spaces
The development proposal features new dedicated public park land, the natural restoration of part of our property back to the valleylands as well as improving pedestrian access to these valleylands.
Existing experience along Steeles Avenue West
Redeveloping this site presents the opportunity to remove the large retaining wall along the frontage of 1875 Steeles Avenue West. By bringing the new building to street level, the sidewalk will be more pedestrian friendly and create a safer more enjoyable experience for both residents and community members.
